Business energy – switch and save £££s!
All firms rely upon energy use to function effectively everyday so it’s important to find the most economical rates to help boost profitability. Looking into an energy switch will be time well spent and help reduce overheads.
Indeed, the Carbon Trust says that by reducing energy costs by 20% is the equivalent impact on profits of a business boosting sales by 5%.
So when looking at energy switching, the amount of energy a business uses will determine how much the energy supplier will offer to attract them as a customer; the larger the energy bill, the larger the savings will be.
So, when it comes to saving money on business energy, switch suppliers and save £££s by using the Business Energy Hub.
The process to energy switch is easier than many firms will believe and to get an accurate quote from any supplier they should:
- Provide a recent energy bill or bills
- The date when their current contract ends
- Their company registration details
- The firm’s MPRN and MPAN meter numbers.
Understanding MPRN and MPAN is important because all business energy suppliers will be requiring this information but what does it mean?
MPAN stands for Meter Point Administration Number
This is the meter number for the company’s electricity supply and it is split into two rows with eight digits in the top row and 13 digits in the bottom row.
MPRN stands for Meter Point Reference Number
This is the gas supply meter number which is between six and 10 numbers in length. The numbers are found in small print on the bottom of the company’s gas bill. This number should not be confused with the company’s gas supplier account number and neither should it be confused with the meter serial number that is located on the meter itself.
Energy switch – the key to reducing overheads
All businesses and organisations should be looking at their overheads and energy costs can be substantial for some of them. This means there are big savings that could potentially be enjoyed.
By switch to a new business energy supplier, the business will have a tailor-made energy pack that will deliver their business needs and save money.
Growing numbers of firms are looking to energy switch in the face of rising bills and this is after years of fluctuating energy prices. Despite rising energy prices for businesses, there are still opportunities to save money and find a cheaper supplier by undertaking an energy switch.
And the best place for any business or organisation looking to energy switch between suppliers is at the Business Energy Hub.
